tonight on abc. >> we are back with more on elon musk this time about jokes he made about a tesla crash. a cybertruck hit another vehicle before slamming into a sign outside the beverly hills hotel on sunday night. a post on x that went viral blamed the crash on a valet, prompting musk to respond. perhaps they weren't expecting so much acceleration. the valet accused turned out to just be a joke. no word on any injuries. >> jury selection is set to begin this morning in the trial of the father of the oxford, michigan, school shooter, james crumbley faces four counts of involuntary manslaughter before the trial begins, four weeks after his wife, jennifer, was convicted on the same charges, the first time in the u.s. that a parent was held criminally responsible for a school shooting carried out by their child. she's now awaiting sentencing as with his wife's case, james crumbley is accused of negligence in buying their son a gun, not securing it properly and ignoring signs he

celebrating the unanimous supreme court ruling that rejected efforts by several states to kick him off the ballot. he's also defeated nikki haley and all but one primary so far, and he's hoping today will be her breaking point. abc's ike ejiochi has the latest on this super tuesday. >> donald trump appears to be on the verge of clinching the republican nomination for a third time. >> we could very well win every state in record numbers. >> trump leads nikki haley by at least 37 points in each of the 15 states, holding primaries today in a new interview, trump looked ahead to general election issues, including. security on the southern border. >> people are coming from parts unknown. countries that you've never heard of, languages that nobody in this country speaks. who would think that we have languages that are like from from the planet mars? nobody nobody knows how to, you know, speak it at a rally in texas last night, haley insisted she's

stern, tough phone call from washington, d.c, to baghdad. >> while iraq's government has said it's investigating but would not speak on the record about the case, a judge in california has scheduled a hearing for convicted murderer scott peterson. >> he is. currently serving life in prison for the deaths of his wife, laci, and their unborn child. back in 2002, the status hearing next tuesday comes less than two months after the los angeles innocence project took up peterson's case. it's believed the hearing will address the group's request for new evidence from peterson's original trial. >> breaking overnight, several people are dead after a small plane crashed in nashville. a single engine aircraft went down near interstate 40 on monday night. authorities have not said how many people were on board, but they did confirm everyone in that plane was killed. police say the pilot issued a mayday call due to engine and power problems before the plane went down. no one on the ground was hurt. >> more snow is expected today on the section of interstate 80
