5:19 pm
devastating flooding and excessive rainfall here. we might just get a few showers and that's about it. here's a look at the latest. and the storm is still a category two hurricane just off the west coast of baja, california, moving north, of course, by 11:00 tonight, it should be down to a category one hurricane. still a powerful storm, of course, and a major rain producer expected to make landfall tomorrow morning just before noon around the san diego area. but it's going to pound all of southern california and up into the central sierra and over into western nevada as well. we're talking about many of these locations receiving anywhere from 5 to 7in of rainfall in the hardest hit area. so you can see what the rainfall that the rainfall potential is, excessive. and that kind of rain, of course, can produce devastating flooding. meanwhile, back here in the bay area, we're just looking at some breezy conditions, having nothing to do with the hurricane. we've got gusts up to 24mph here in san francisco right now and mainly blue sky, at least looking in this direction from our rooftop camera across the embarcadero, 66 degrees right now in in san francisco, oakland, 68, 73 in mountain

5:21 pm
increasing humidity even around the bay shoreline, we'll see warm conditions low to mid 80s in the warmest spots. and here's the accuweather seven day forecast. so let me step back and give you a look on monday. as you can see, still increasing humidity chance of showers. it's just going to be a muggy and uncomfortable day, although not as hot as tomorrow will be on tuesday. it gets a little bit less humid and a little bit warmer. and as we get into the latter part of the week, the middle of the week, in fact, it really warms up inland to upper 90s on wednesday, mid upper 90s on thursday and temperatures start to moderate toward the end of the week. okay. so once again for the bay area, the effect of hilary will probably just see some showers, maybe a 10th of an inch of rain. but the other parts of the states of the south and the east will be really hit by by heavy, devastating rain and potentially disastrous flooding. oh, you know, you just feel for them, right? people that aren't used to getting that much rain in that short amount of time. so we're going to hope for the best. spencer, thank you. okay. all right. let's get a check on sports now

5:27 pm
i don't know if it looks easy. it really does not feel easy at all. i mean, like i go out there and, you know, these are big league pitchers and the stuff. i feel like it's getting nastier every year. but i think the big thing is just like when you have bad days, it's not because you're a skill or like, you know, what kind of player you are, but it's just part of the game. and i think once you accept that, it's pretty easy to move on to the next game and, you know, just try to be your best when you show up. the next day. yeah. so. zach gerloff, it's amazing to see when young guys come up and just play that well. it's just great to watch. karina all right. we'll keep our eye on zach gerloff. all right. now i know that name. so we're good. historically good. historically good. all right. thank you so much, casey. well, it's not a typical culinary trio, but who doesn't like pizza bagels and beer? chicken? definitely. okay. highlights from a festival. first today in san
