54n n n breezy from san francisco to the inland valleys. cool and great at the coast. we will keep the clouds. climbing through the mid 60's around the bay and inland throughout the noontime hour. by the end of the afternoon with slow clearing, well into the 70's. breezy and windy at the shoreline. we will do it again overnight tonight. we will talk about a modest warm up in the next few days. liz: investigators trying to figure out what happened after an officer shot and killed a man after a standup at a neighborhood market. the full standup started at a market on bosworth street yesterday after 2:00 in the afternoon. san francisco police responded

to reports of a man with a gun entering a home. it ended three hours after an officer shooting the man. reporter: a three hour standoff near san francisco's glen park neighborhood friday ended with san francisco police shooting and killing a man. officers say the man was armed with a gun when he entered the store on the corner of bosworth street. a person inside the store called 911. >> we were trying to negotiate during this incident. we were trying to negotiate a peaceful resolution. the amount of information at this time is preliminary. reporter: our media partners say employees reported the man lived above the store. lee say the man was alcohol and snorted cocaine before reaching for his gun. that's when officers opened fire. a lot of the attention is focused on that street corner where most of the officers and investigators remain. multiple agencies are on scene

including the san francisco district attorney's office. >> every few minutes, they were asking him to come outside with his hands up and he didn't. reporter: michaela mcfarland heard almost the entire confrontation including the moment gunfire erupted. >> very fast, rapid succession. that was it. sinking feeling in my body. knowing what's going down. reporter: she has lived in this neighborhood for several years. lately, she's been growing concerned. >> it's been insane how much is going on. my parents had their catalytic converter stolen twice. within a matter of months. people are always coming down the street around the corner, constantly trying to break into cars, having cars stolen. reporter: sfpd is not releasing the name of the man. %

shooting by an officer this year. they will hold a meeting with residents in the next 10 days. >> in the spirit of accountability and transparency, the san francisco police department will be hosting a town hall meeting to disclose as much information as we can from this incident. reporter: ryan curry, abc7news. liz: details walgreens has cut , ties with a security firm after their guard shot and killed a man last month. brown got into a physical dispute over shoplifting. the ceo of kingdom group protective services received a call about the decision last week. walgreens, which hired the firm, did not comment. the district attorney is not filing criminal charges against the guard. today in half moon bay, the community can improve the lives of farm workers. this comes after tragic

shootings where seven people were killed. the summit aims to shed light on the challenges farmworkers base including living conditions and access to clean water and health care. residents rallying for a new post office to open in marin county. the town has been witho office for more than two months after a dispute between the usps and landlord of the building. usps tells abc 7 they are looking for a permanent patient to reopen. in the north bay, caltrans will open a portion of highway 37 for smart train tack repair. it is between highway 121 and highway 29. crews will work on a railroad crossing on the highway. caltrans says those traveling

the nfl next week. the home city of santa clara said the city is excited about the potential opportunity to have the super bowl back santa clara and to work with the bay area committee pending the meeting decision next week. the opportunity has business officials excited as well. >> will benefit hotels and workers in our tax base and it will also help our partners, restaurants, coffee shops, small businesses. >> an estimated 350 million dollars was brought to the bay area when that super bowl was here in 2016 but it does not always mean big money for the businesses down from the stadium. >> they come and block the roads. >> many businesses say they didn't experience big boosts from the last super bowl with many events focused in san francisco.
