about hamas being murderers, hamas specifically so the university definitely are in some cases afraid to take action in ways that doesn't help in the long run, to prevent situations like this if you did stand your ground and support free speech and the second protesters are vandalizing it's no longer free speech, it's a private campus and you have to respect the school rules that all university clubs are expected to submit to and i am involved in the pro-life club on campus. we have to make reservations ahead of time to put on even one table and these protesters are in violation of a bunch of basic safety rules and are still allowed to go on for a whole day so there's a lot of things that could have been done to prevent the situation from getting to tonight.

vocational school enrollment is up 16%. student studying construction trades are up 22%. our next guest chose to become an ironworker following her father's footsteps. tiffany young and her dad robert young join us now. good morning to you both. you were a father/daughter welding duo before you retired which is a unique thing you don't hear about very often. tiffany, you chose to go against attritional college route and join a trade. why did you decide to do that? >> i started dual enrollment with college when i was 16 and i was studying graphic design, graduated from high school and went to university and studying graphic design and i didn't care for it after another three years of it.

i moved home and became a cna and then this isn't a very good fit for me so i decided to try being good an ironworker and i did one more year, welding fabrication program at community college and i went down joined local union 25 out of detroit. carley: thanks for taking a break to talk about this. he worked with your daughter for three years. tell us what that was like. >> one of the best feelings a guy can have. i actually postponed by retirement for three years to enjoy the time together on that. it is a blessing. carley: that is fantastic. tiffany, the big question, do

you feel you have job security for life? if so, people are watching right now, interested in joining a trade, what would your advice be? >> there is a high demand not just for ironworkers but a lot of different trades. i feel very secure in my job for now at least. there's a lot of different avenues to iron working, not just welding but a lot of things you can do. for people who want to join the trade, they should try it. between college and trade school if you want to try going into a trade you can go to college. carley: it is great to talk to you both and hear about your lives and your story, great advice, such a positive influence on your daughter's life to have her following your footsteps. great talking to you, thanks for joining us, have a good day.
