>> lawrence: it is 8:00 a.m. on east coast, friday, march 15th. this is "fox and friends." we begin with fox news alert. waiting on decision for the d.a. and her fate in the georgia case. >> brian: hamas reportedly presenting proposal to trade hostages for prisoners. >> we are happy to receive some response from hamas, we've been waiting for a while.
5:02 am
>> ainsley: and fox weather alert. several reported tornados ripping through ohio, indiana and kentucky, leaving a trail of destruction. >> steve: so sad. remember mornings are better with friends. >> ainsley: a judge is expected to decide very soon on whether d.a. fani willis will be removed from former president trump's georgia election case. >> lawrence: here with perspective, former federal prosecutor hayes. it is clear they lied to the court, what do you expect a judge to do? >> i hope what the judge does is disqualify fani willis and the whole office, that is what should happen. the judge said before the hearing began, standard he was going by was appearance of
5:03 am
impropriety and we have evidence of actual conflict of interest when it comes to hiring her boyfriend, paying him and she approved massive payments to him and enjoyed going on elaborate vacations with him and they made it worse by getting on the witness stand and lying and filing false document, now there is actual conflict of interest the judge should be able to rely on in tossing her whole office. >> steve: will this judge decide whether or not to completely derail the case or say, there is a case there. we will hand it to another county or office, how does this work? what is timeline, would this happen before the election? >> great questions. it is unlikely it would happen
5:04 am
before the election. the case would become assigned to prosecuting attorney association of georgia, elected d.a.s and solicitors general. they would decide who should work on the case. it would stay with judge mcafee and fulton county, someone else would be in charge of it. it would take a while to get up to speed, they would work on the indictment or decide if it should be dismissed. >> ainsley: manhattan hush money trial. another trial trump is facing, his team wants to review evidence just turned over to emthem. d.a. alvin bragg said he would not 30-day delay. is that enough? >> no. ainsley, there has not been
5:05 am
enough time from the beginning of this case, given volume of information. a judge would have wrapped the d.a.'s office on the hand for failing to turn over this discovery material at this late date. this is shocking and even 90 days is insufficient. think how long it takes to read a 500 page novel. this is tens of thousands of pages that impact whether or not president trump might be recommended to go to jail if convicted. >> todd: this is unbelievable. the southern district of new york was the one who didn't hand over the document and background information, because they were considering bringing charges against the former president and decided not to. alvin bragg's office said, can you give us the paperwork? they just got to it and handed
5:06 am
it over to him. same time trump team asked for a delay and now all of a sudden, everybody wants a delay. here is the exact statement. people are prepared to proceed to trial on march 25, we do not oppose adjournment in abundance of caution to review the new material. we do not oppose brief adjournment. they need time to read the stuff. >> that is right. i can't help thing department of justice is playing games here. they are prosecuting president trump in d.c. and florida and this case went first, indicted first before any other case. the federal government was well aware president trump has right to look for information on other
5:07 am
witnesses. this looks like game play and i don't understand why the judge is not sanctions department of justice and alvin bragg's office. >> brian: you know why, it is new york and legal system does not like trump. certain firefighters do. >> ainsley: can't someone above alvin bragg say this is nothe fair, they need more time. >> the appeals court. trump team cannot appeal. it is up to the judge, and the judge has shown he has no sympathy for donald trump or his defense team. >> lawrence: i could be wrong, last time i checked, the southern district of new york is most aggressive federal prosecution there is, right? >> they are a busy prosecutor's office and take joy in going
5:08 am
after white-collar criminals on wall street. >> lawrence: they did not find enough evidence to proceed to trial, what is he going to find? >> this case is so weak, i don't doubt it will be tossed on appeal. it is a weak case, novel and similar to the case they are using statutes in a way they have never been used before. i expect that will be overturned on appeal, who for president trump in the meantime may get convicted in a case that never should have been brought. >> steve: thank you for joining us. >> brian: all about jury selection when that gets going. if you get people that want to take a fair look at this, is this possible? >> lawrence: all you need is one. >> ainsley: in florida, judge denied motion to dismiss on motion of unconstitutional
5:09 am
vagueness. the presidential records act, they have not made a decision on. he said he was president when he took the documents. >> steve: trump team said espionage act on the documents case was too vague and the judge said, you're wrong, sorry. we'll see what she does with the other one and you will hear about it. >> lawrence: she's talked about in her writings and this is going to the core argument of the trump attorney about the standing of the case. that is part she has not ruled on and what the legal analysts are going to be watching. >> ainsley: she's down in florida, do we know about her record? >> lawrence: she's new, trump-appointed judge cannon. they are thinking they can get a fair shake with someone like her. >> steve: first time judge
5:10 am
cannon denied legal attack on an indictment. the trump team thought, she can help us and yesterday she said, not so fast. >> brian: donald trump was there in court. >> ainsley: fox weather alert, several suspected tornados tearing through ohio, indiana and kentucky. in logan county at least six are dead and others in the hospital. >> brian: search effort is ongoing for people unaccounted for. >> lawrence: this photo is from arkansas, the storm brought massive chunks of hail. >> steve: janice, everybody in that neighborhood has a dented car today. >> janice: those are risks you have and tornado-warned storm. throughout the morning, strong rotation in dekalb, alabama and
5:11 am
toward georgia. we had over 90 reports of tornados thursday through today from texas to great lakes. well forecasted from the national weather service. we can't tell you exactly where the tornados are going to strike and in heavily populated areas over kentucky, illinois and ohio. this is arkansas, we saw hail reports, numerous tornado-warned storms and heavy rain, three to five inches. we had flash flooding. so many risks with storms. top hail report in oklahoma, arkansas with that huge hail over four-inch diameter and today's stretch from texas through southeast coast, we could see all of the above and talk about the snow with this. in colorado, 50 inches of snow and interstates are shut down and people are told to stay off the road. to you. >> steve: it's been a great
5:12 am
season for snow in the mountains. >> janice: it has. >> ainsley: but not here. >> brian: nothing here. >> lawrence: i am over the snow now. >> steve: it is march 15th, we're not -- >> brian: brought out all my sleeveless shirts, declared it spring. >> steve: there you go. >> brian: that's it. >> steve: who needs k-d punxsutawney phil? >> brian: me and jason kelce will retire together. >> steve: israeli prime minister netanyahu huddling up with his war cabinet earlier today. we thought he would join us this hour, not going to happen. >> brian: hamas is floating ceasefire proposal and details sent to united states and mediators. >> lawrence: peter doocy live from the white house with details. >> peter: this would not be for
5:13 am
all remaining hochul, it would be a trade for hostages. in exchange for 700 palestinians, 100 of them doing hard time, life sentences. we don't know how the numbers lineup, there are 19 or so women believed in captivity in gaza and number of children, elderly and sick remain unclear. israelis are not dismissing this offer out right under tremendous pressure from the biden administration to wrap things up in gaza. >> first of all, happen to receive response from hamas, we have been waiting for a while from that. we are not happy with the details of the proposal, it is an opening. we will willing to continue with negotiation and willing to pay a heavy price to bring back
5:14 am
hos hostages. >> peter: the concern is if they take 10 billion and spend on humanitarian stuff, it frees up $10 billion they can spend on funding proxy terror groups around the world. >> steve: you were talking about biden administration pressuring israelis to wrap it up or come up with a deal. yesterday chuck schumer, leader of senate for democrats said that benjamin netanyahu is a problem and they need new elections. is chuck schumer trying to help joe? joe's popularity is eroding with progressives because of his stance on israel. >> peter: seems like it.
5:15 am
they had the vice president call for ceasefire and chuck schumer calling for new election on the floor of the senate. they are having powerful democrats put out word to progressives upset there is not a ceasefire it is something top democrats support. they are not having the president use that strong language, not yet. we'll see how the rest of the day shapes up. >> ainsley: kamala harris' husband is jewish and chuck schumer is jewish. >> lawrence: interfering with another country's democracy, go figure. thanks, peter. >> brian: another fox news alert. haitian man living at massachusetts migrant hotel is behind bars charged with raping a 15-year-old girl. >> steve: suspect being held without bail after pleading not guilty in court yesterday. >> ainsley: griff jenkins has brand new information about this case and it is stunning.
5:16 am
griff. >> griff: it is concerning for a new reason, per multiple sources, fox learned this haitian man, cory alvarez charged with raping a disabled girl in massachusetts. he was brought into the u.s. last year via biden mass parole program for haitians and countries we don't have repatriation program with. he are told he flew directly from haiti to jfk airport in june of 2023 and had listed a sponsor in new jersey. isis placed detainer on him with local authorities. he pleaded not guilty. this program allow 30,000 people each month to fly into the u.s. and granted two years of
5:17 am
humanitarian parole to apply to work here in the u.s. they are supposed to be vetted and have this sponsor in the u.s. biden administration considered this a legal pathway. here according to cbp data, biden administration brought 138,000 haitians via this program since 2023, in an effort to cut down on illegal crossings at the border. i've seen countless haitians crossing illegally. it is important to note, this is not an individual who snuck in, he was not processed at the border, he flew straight in on this program. amid chaos of what is erupting in haiti with 80% of the
5:18 am
population being held by armed gangs. we will sealvarez scheduled for dangerousness hearing. >> lawrence: my mind goes to what happened in del rio. we started to see them break out into fights, stealing going on, whip gate started with illegal migrant from haiti stealing another migrant purse and that is when the agents moved in. are we concerned about criminal element from the del rio bunch? >> griff: you put your finger on it, they are worried, very worried, we have no way of vetting these individuals. look at the catos in haiti now. going back to the haitian crisis under the bridge, haitians trying to get out of haiti because of the situation there. this is not a new thing.
5:19 am
we have so many haitians waiting in border towns across from our border they are waiting for right time to come across and this parole program, 138,000 in last 15 months are coming through this parole legal pathway and it is concerning we could see violence coming, like with this man that has been charged. >> steve: so frustrating. thank you for updating that story. >> lawrence: nasty guy, you go after a disabled girl. >> ainsley: facing so many challenges. >> steve: allegedly. >> ainsley: facing so many challenges and will take a lifetime to get over this, if she does. >> brian: measles are a problem, that is your first story. >> carley: kicking it off, chicago measles case count has risen to 12, two more cases yesterday, six children, one in
