but the bare minimum of what the vice president is supposed to be able to do. voters have eyes, democrats and family members with biden saying he's great is expected, they have no third-party validator saying i was with biden the other day and he's fine. or i saw her in a meeting, she was incredible. you ever hear that from somebody being paid to say that? >> not at all. i was shocked what you said in the green room, he said greg, you look great in that and then you said they wouldn't be in this situation with fail president and incompetent vice president and instead they would have an array of strong candidates go after eight years of trump. i stayed and played fair and then you sort of beat me. [laughter] of all vice president's, cheney, pence, gore, biden, none of them lacked confidence, all of them thought they would be ready to serve if the opportunity presented itself. two of them had a chance to serve, h.w. did and biden did and biden is. [laughter] there's no getting around the fact that the vice president has had missteps. had our share on the show and she deserves to be spotlighted when those things happen. me the most glaring challenge for the vice president, she was given the most important combination of national security and domestic policy issue, the border. i think whomever the anonymous or person identified in the administration will question her

efficacy and effectiveness, that's a legitimate thing. without advice and tried to give advice, one thing i've never understood is she is one of the most effective crime fighters as an attorney general in the country, why he would travel around the country get best practices in crime-fighting figure out the best row, police officers around the country in particular proposals and plans to help police department, it's always baffled me. when it comes to the cognitive test, i don't agree we should give cognitive test -- >> even him? >> i think people do stupid things all the time and foolish things. a lot of people in positions of power do stupid things all the time, that doesn't mean -- look, you can have a piece of tape here, i would know where to sit, i would sit off and on and i'm only 53 and i hope my wife and kids don't want me to take a cognitive test but the truth is, she's like every other vice president i would say, he would

do that. i said on the show and i will again from a three states prior to labor day i think are critical for any incumbent president, one is memorial day, what are gas prices at memorial day? for the july, what are food prices and gas prices like with the fourth of july? most schools in america northeast start between the first and third week of august, what are clothing prices, school supply prices during that time? every presidential race has had a correlation to what those numbers look like and after labor day a free-for-all in whomever is able to adjust and have the momentum likely wins the race. by economics has not been returned or packaging the minds of a lot of shoulders and there's no a lot of telling people even as great as bill maher is saying things are better and you should understand that unless people feel that way, we have a topic later about what minimum wage should be and

answer, look at creative way to use the tax code because the problem is with the problem is, people trying to work in san francisco who can't afford to live anywhere near the people who want their fast food service, hotel rooms cleaned by things and places but the people who work at those places can't afford to live anywhere near your guess where they are so i get it but $50 an hour for small business is not sustainable. figure out how to use the tax code to incentivize people working, incentivize businesses and give people a break and people are saying 50% of americans don't pay taxes, they are earning 40, 50, 60000 a year trying to live and serve people in communities across the country. i daresay anybody who wants to trade places with anybody, all right. in the bay area to earn 6 million a year end take 40% in taxes, i'm not that good at math to better math equation earning
