were 90% of that game they outplayed the kansas city chiefs. >> steve: it was thrilling. anybody that would watch it just because it came down to like the last couple of seconds. and they are going to be talking about that game for a long time. >> ainsley: reba mcentire sang the national anthem she did a great job. >> steve: 91 seconds. people were betting on that. >> ainsley: purple gatorade. >> steve: that's right. what color would it be. more on this with will cain in a couple minutes but right now we have a fox news alert. lloyd austin undergoing treatment critical care unit at walter reed medical center. peter doocy joins us live from the white house with the latest. peter, this was shocking news last night. >> peter: yes. and initially when austin was taken to the hospital by his security detail, the pentagon press team told us that he had classified and unclassified ways to communicate with his staff, so he was going to continue fully as the sec. def. that changed at 4:55 p.m. when they told us he was handing off

his duties to the deputy kathleen hix. in a statement the pentagon is telling us after a series of tests and evaluations, the secretary was admitted into the critical care unit at walter reed for supportive care and close monitoring. at this time it is not clear how long secretary austin will rye main hospitalized the current bladder issue is not expected to change his anticipated full recovery. cancer prognosis remains excellent. so this is a bladder issue separate from the prostate cancer issue. but, his serious health problems date back to december 22nd. that is when he went under for surgery, which he did not disclose to his boss, the president, for more than a week. president biden later said it was an error in judgment for austin to hold out on him about that. ultimately never asked austin to resign. actually putting out the word that he would not accept a resignation if offered. but, this is the new system in action. the chief of staff here, jeff zins says if a cabinet secretary cannot work.

>> ainsley: if he is competent then they can charge donald trump if you are competent. if you are not competent you will not get charged. >> steve: when you read his report, you will see what he says. anyway, there is a brand new abc ipsos poll out. it looks at the very issue which is the one thing joe biden and the team can't do anything about. when you ask adults is joe biden too old to be president? 86% say yes, he's too old. three quarters of adults in the united states of america say he is too old. and i looked up in the same poll, 91% of independents say joe is too old. by comparison, 20 points behind donald trump, 71% is too old. >> brian: yeah, i mean, there is another poll out there, 76% of voters have major concerns about his mental and physical health. 53% of which are democrats. you don't know what to do. 70% of the battleground state agree with the statement that mr. biden is just too old to be

down south. janice dean the weather machine has the fox cast. hey, j.d. >> janice: this tomorrow tomorrow i'm hoping a lot of snow maybe snow angels. steve mentioned the risk of severe storms. >> first of all 37 in new york and, again, this time tomorrow hopefully 5 to 8-inch around the new york city area. it's warm enough for severe storms as the cold front moves on through the southeast. we have flooding concerns for parts of alabama, in towards georgia. behind that we have got some snow for oklahoma and arkansas into missouri. and then a tornadoes watch, my friends, from new orleans all the way up towards montgomery, alabama, in towards southwestern alabama and also the florida panhandle. so that means conditions are favorable for tornadoes. we watched this storm move towards the mid-atlantic tonight overnight. and then as it inches up towards the northeast tomorrow morning in the commute wrap around snow, a very dynamic system. it's going to be so strong it's going to actually make its own cold air and therefore we could see rain -- snowfall totals of 1

to 2 inches an hour in and around the new york city area. this is going to be almost like a blizzard type event because a lot of snow in a short period of time that transition is going to happen tomorrow morning. so winter weather alerts. there your snow forecast. again yesterday around the new york city area we were predicting 1 to 2, maybe 3 inches of snow. it was just in the overnight hours that the national weather service saw all of that dynamic upward motion and the fact that we could have so much snow in a short period of time. that's why we have winter alerts. winter weather watches for new york city and extending across long island. but connecticut, new england, you need to pay attention to your forecast because we will be dealing with jackpot snowfall totals tomorrow afternoon. all right, steve, ainsley, brian. who is excited for snow? >> ainsley: what? we are the only two? we need lawrence. he is off today. >> steve: i'm going to drive 25 miles in the snow. >> ainsley: stay in the hotel in the city tonight. >> brian: tonight? a day early? >> ainsley: tomorrow morning.

>> steve: family members of the five young marines killed in training exercises last week are now raising questions to the department of defense. the marines lost their lives when the helicopter they were flying from nevada to california crashed into a forest during one of the most intense rain storms in a very long time. begging the question why were the marines in the air during the storm? bradford moulton is one of those speaking out. he is the uncle of captain benjamin moulton, 27-year-old marine who lost his life. and brad joins us now. brad, good morning to you. >> good morning. >> steve: i am so sorry for the loss of your nephew. >> thank you very much. >> steve: you've got a problem with during this essentially you

refer to it as 1,000 year storm you guys have had so much rain out there and the question really is why would someone green light them taking off in a storm that bad? >> that's something that i personally cannot understand, having worked with the military for most of my career. i know the military does hazardous missions all the time and they train all the time, but this was a highly volatile storm. they had hurricane force winds these helicopters they were flying they don't have defrosters on the wind shields. if their repo rotors ice up thee going down. they were flying at altitude of 5400 feet which is why where the snow and the rain mixes.

probably one of the smartest kids come out of the school district. got an r ts scholarship to the university of washington, graduated in three years with political science degree went to officer candidate school. second in his class in ocs and was the company commander won marksmanship training best shot in entire unit. captain of the university of washington boxing team. he liked to hunt and fish and build cars and he was a blacksmith and a knife maker. and he was just a good, good kid. and it's just a tragedy that he is gone over a stupid mistake. >> steve: the governor, i know that ben grew up in alaska and idaho. and i know that the governor of idaho ordered flags in that state to go to half mast.
