ca cache. not as much as it used to be. he had a good rollout, he did it in boston. boston's media market shares with new hampshire. biden has really given the middle finger to new hampshire by saying we're going to do the first of the primaries in south carolina. instead, new hampshire voters even if partisan democrats are not happy about that, so you might see if there's a way rfk jr. would be able to push biden into having to debate. you haven't seen the white house actually get concerned. we know what can happen, we'll talk about it in the show when the white house, biden's campaign gets going, they could get a couple of dozen national security advisers to say things that aren't true. so what kind of opposition research could they do on something like this if they put their mind to it. they may not think they want to do it, but joe biden is a historically weak incumbent. it is interesting, also probably very unlikely

jr. is going to be a formidable force, disrupter at the least. >> greg: what do you say, ju judge. >> jeanine: i worked with him in the environmental crimes unit, i was forward and progressive in that regard. i found him to be a very ethical guy who really believed in what he was doing. he wasn't cheap about politics, he wasn't an easy mark. he was someone who believed in what he believed and i think it will be very interesting to watch him. i think when you put someone up like him against joe biden and we see he has taken 35% of the democrats who don't like joe biden, think he is too liberal, and 33% of joe biden's people who think that the economy is terrible, i think he has an opportunity if he's given that opportunity.

he is almost like curious, dana, the way you described it, coming around in the back, the left, the right, meeting back there somewhere. i think people will find in him if there's enough of a chance, i know his family is trashing him, the kennedy family is trashing him, they're so left and progressive, they don't want to deal with him. some americans will find him to be reminiscent of better times in america and i think it will be very interesting to watch. he is not about corporate greed, he is not about running around the world and sucking up money with a vacuum cleaner for the family. >> greg: he might be, i don't know. i had issues with him for going back probably 20 some odd years because i worked in the health internalism area, anti-vax movement was one of the most stride end, hardcore. now he is known for this stance, the covid stance. so i wouldn't say it is a

stopped clock in that he was finally right, but what do you make of that now. it is weird how he's now become a folk hero of people who aren't typically liberals. >> all the years being anti-vax may have been vindicated? i don't know if the other vaccines pose the threat he believes and puts out there, but i don't think the left and right meet in the middle around the back of the political sphere. a lot of americans sit here in the middle, and when they're not on a team that's kevin mccarthy's team or joe biden's team, they're just focused on things that effect their lives. talk about farmers that want to raise a farm without monsanto owning them, people want to raise kids without teachers indoctrinating them. not pay all their money in taxes or pay more because they have good credit, that's not political ideology, that's middle class or low class people

claims the biden administration is mishandling the case against hunter and there's a conflict of interest. the whistle-blower's attorney says he is willing to spill the beans to congress. >> my client is ready to come to congress and be questioned about what he experienced under proper legal protections. >> would you find evidence or allegation of a political agenda? >> no. to him the truth is one truth. and he wants to come forward with it. the things he has been through are very well documented in emails and other communications with the department of justice. >> the white house giving valuable insight here. >> i want to be very clear here. as you know, the president respects the rule of law and the independence of the department of justice. he believes that's what they should be, in this

administration we believe it should be independent. i'm not going to go beyond that. >> does the white house support giving the irs agent -- >> for the state of transparency, and don't politicize this, the president is very clear this is something for department of justice which is independent. >> yeah. okay. but a top democrat is taking it very seriously. >> i concur with the belief there should be no interference in these investigations. we take all whistle-blower statements seriously as we should. some turn out to be very important and some not. but we take them all seriously at the outset and look at them closely. >> looks like the whistle-blower is taking a lot of precaution, not sharing everything with his lawyer, to protect himself, doesn't want to get persecuted here. i remember when whistle-blowers in the trump administration were held as heroes. what's going on for hunter? >> jeanine: i think it is interesting that this now based on what mark lytle

is saying, he is alleging this guy is not political one way or the other. we have seen whistle-blowers come and go, they're kind of touched or involved in politics. i like the way this sounds. it is up to the inspector general for department of justice to make a decision whether or not this guy is going to be given whistle-blower status which you would need with this administration, but what's interesting is that he is a senior person in the irs and claims to have a lot of evidence that's not just based upon believe me and not him. here's the evidence, here's the documents, here's the emails. let me say one more thing. he says that he has information that contradicts highly appointed political appointee in the biden administration and it appears that he is going to contradict what merrick garland, the attorney general said before the senate judiciary committee when he said i have pledged not to interfere

with the investigation, i have carried through on my pledge. now, if the whistle-blower is credible and relies on documents, is not political, and gets that whistle-blower status, then for one of the few times and we wondered about this guy a long time, calling parents a domestic terrorist, time to take a good look at this guy, merrick garland, and his politicization of department of justice. no grand jury investigation takes five years. okay? 2018 to 2023. that's nonsense. >> we talked about polls, president biden is doing great, but his best spokesperson says talk to the irs, department of justice. >> dana: the press secretary in march, uncharacteristically broke the seal and she was first time ever she had commented on hunter biden and the allegations

against him saying it was a bunch of lies and bad politics, and at the time it was like oh, whoa, is the white house now officially going to be defending hunter biden. now, they have a spokesperson at the white house counsel office, ian sams, very good at what he does. that's whereas press secretary you can say i want to talk about the economy, you can call ian, you have his number. i don't have anything on that. that's the right place to be for a press secretary, so the press is right to be skeptical. very interested to see what the whistle-blower has to say because his attorney, i don't know what this guy is like in terms of the whistle-blower, but his attorney is sober minded, has clarity of purpose. this is my client, i am going to do my best for him, let's listen to what he has to say. he will be on special report tonight. >> talking about hunter biden, the charges are the investigation goes down to did he lie about drugs when purchasing a gun ironically enough. talking six biden family members down to grandkids,

♪ >> jeanine: joe biden has a new way to screw you over, and it's all in the name of equity. if you're saving up to buy a new home, the president is going to make you pay for someone else's, too. his administration is rolling out a new plan that punishes people that have good credit, in many cases will have to pay $40 more per month to subsidize loans for higher risk borrowers. industry experts warn it will backfire. one says, quote, it's going to be a challenge trying to explain to somebody that says, quote, i worked my whole life for a high credit score and i put a lot of money down and now you're telling me that's a negative? that's a hard conversation to have.

okay. you know, joey, i heard you saying you're just buying a new home and in the last mortgage crisis, mortgages were given to people who couldn't afford them. i think that was in 2008. how did that work out? >> in 2008, people were buying houses to put renters in there. now people are trying to find somewhere to live. there is a places to live problem. geraldo and i talked about the va loan program during the commercial break, and there's an interesting aspect there. you don't have to pay a down payment, usually get a good interest rate, maybe not the best, but the process is way more stringent and that's a benefit you earn. rather than penalizing everyone that worked hard for good credit, taking money for them, create programs similar to that for people that can earn it, teachers, doctors, nurses, take care of middle class people that had to rack up credit card debt but are paying their bills by providing a

stoke populous anger and lose re-election. what came out of the mortgage crisis? the tea party. after the tea party, what did you have? then donald trump comes on the scene. like wait a second, he is speaking to people the way they feel. and i think this is a similar thing on the student loan crisis. the white house blows it off. numbers are very clear. it is one of the reasons his poll numbers aren't that great, they don't actually attack a problem to solve it, they paper over it with more regulation. this one was sneaky, very sneaky. all of a sudden this is happening, people are going to be very angry about it. you haven't heard the end of it. >> jeanine: how do you think this will impact the overall economy that's a mess, 69% of americans think it is a mess. >> geraldo: i don't know it will have that big an impact on the overall economy, but i think it harkens back to the student loan inequity, the sense i paid mine back, you're not going to pay yours back is unfair. i think a lot of people

given the fact that you are rewarded for low credit score and penalized for good credit, it is kind of like putting the world ass backwards in a sense. excuse me my language. i don't like it. and it is not a lot of money, it is just enough money to annoy you. you have a $400,000 mortgage, a very substantial house, i mean, for most working middle class people, so it is 40 bucks on top of your payment. 40 bucks a month. >> jeanine: yeah. >> dana: that's for now. >> geraldo: it is annoying. i don't think it helps joe biden, not sure it will help the prospective homeowners. it was a catastrophe in 2008. subprime mortgages given to people, put no money down. my dad used to say, got the gi bill, we had a $10,000 house, he used to say you have to put money down to feel a sense of
