8:01 am
dismiss the hush money case that is filed by district attorney alvin bragg also as you mentioned deadline for the former president to post the massive appeal bond nearly half a billion dollars, to protect his assets, from new york attorney general letitia james, now donald trump son eric trump phase roughly four-million-dollar fine from judge engorra told you yesterday. >> every person can i get a half-billion-dollar bond maria there was nothing, they are laughing, top executives largest surety companies had never seen anything of this size what going start seizing assets if he can't pay something not available in the united states? >> trump lawyers earlier asked bond rereduced or waived entirely we've not heard from court on that yet, it is

possible, that the attorney general's office, trump lawyers could come up with an agreement if trump misses the deadline for appeal bond attorney general can immediately begin moving forward wefrts to seize his assets, could freeze bank accounts file liens on real estate those could be later used for foreclosures would greatly impair donald trump's ability to transact business in new york he also says he has cash on hand wants to use that for campaign. to be reelected to the white house as president of the united states, really growing pressure to post that bond, meanwhile, criminal case, if not further delayed, this is set to start april 15. i send it back to you. >> lydia thank you very much lydia hu in new york city, eric trump told me, that his father will not back down, that he has seen this kind of treatment before.

remember, as today progresses donald trump can pay after thread would stay any enforcement actions, that lydia hu mentioned early, second, putting a lien on a property, is a very cumbersome complicated process, also we need to remember, as people in our audience probably know, just because letitia james puts a lien on one of these trump properties that doesn't mean she rises to the top of the lien priority, there are a lot of other creditors ahead of let letitia james, obviously, trump does not want encumbrance she is taking what she can did he val property hurt trump why trump wants to
8:05 am
use cash in this instance, if properties are out of his hand there is no telling he could apply it back, and let's face it doesn't seem letitia james would be inclined to sell at reduced price if you know what i mean. maria: just stunning to see the feds try to seize property you go to original issue the fact they claim that he overstated assets there are auditors that do that look at results half a billion-dollar fine, this is why you hear people like kevin o'leary from "shark tank" say he doesn't want to do business in new york today trump tomorrow could be him i don't have half a billion-dollar the end of the day this is going to prevent anybody that has a business or that is, you know understands capitalistic system hardworking person from running they know you've done
